Management of Foundation Funds
A primary goal of the Foundation Committee is to safeguard the funds held in the Foundation while providing for appropriate levels of growth and security. Since 2013, the funds of the Foundation have been managed by Baird based on an Investment Policy Statement established by the Foundation Committee and approved by the Church Council. Baird was founded in 1919 and currently manages over $360 billion worldwide through over 4,600 associates with their corporate headquarters in Milwaukee.
Setting up a New Foundation Fund
To set up a new Foundation Fund, a minimum donation of $10,000 is required. Donors should specify a particular area where they want to provide support either from the listing in the “Who We Serve and Support” tab or another ministry area which they feel is important to the Church. A request to establish a new Foundation Fund is subject to approval by the Foundation Committee and the St. Luke’s Church Council.
Setting up a New Foundation Endowment Fund
To set up a new Foundation Fund as an endowment, a minimum donation of $100,000 is required. An endowment fund provides that the principal will be maintained and only earnings can be directed to one or more ministry areas. Donors should specify a particular area where they want to provide support either from the listing in the “Who We Serve and Support” tab or another ministry area which they feel is important to the Church. A request to establish a new Foundation Endowment Fund is subject to approval by the Foundation Committee and the St. Luke’s Church Council.
