"WayForward Resources brings our community together to create food and housing security through action and advocacy. Our vision is a community where everyone has the stability to thrive."

History

Middleton Outreach Ministry (MOM) was established in 1980 in the basement of St. Luke's Lutheran Church to care for the basic needs of some of the area's residents. Over time, multiple faith congregations joined forces to meet the growing demand, and expanded to a service area that includes West Madison, Middleton and Cross Plains.

In 2007, with demand continuing to increase, MOM transitioned into a business-based organization both at the Board and leadership levels. Faith-based congregations continue to provide some of the resources and volunteers that are needed to meet the growing demand.

In 2023 they changed to WayForward Resources from Middleton Outreach Ministry (MOM) to "remove any potential barriers for clients about who we are and the services we provide."
